ROTI HOUSE
The ROTI is a traditional flatbread from the Indian subcontinent. It is normally eaten with cooked vegetables or curries; it can be used as a carrier for them. It is made most often from wheat flour, cooked on a flat or slightly concave iron griddle called a tawa.
ROTI is also known as CHAPATIS which are made of whole-wheat flour known as atta, mixed into dough with water, oil (optional), and salt (optional) in a mixing utensil called a parat, and are cooked on a tava (flat skillet).
It can also be made of various other flours such us jowar, bajra, soya, raji (millets) etc. As rice is the staple food for the Southern India, Chapatis are the staple of the North Indians.
It is commonly consumed in many South Asian, Southeast Asian, Caribbean, and Southeast African countries. Roti. flat roti, and chapati.
